The very lovely Janice of Birthsweet.com was awesome enough to send me a bunch of her wedding photos to share with us all who are considering the ways in which to get hitched!
She says:
We got up at 5am to get married at the Canadian embassy in Korea. That afternoon we flew to Thailand. The celebrant came to our hotel the night before our wedding and we picked the cake and flowers. The next day we had an absolutely stress free day that was all about us!
We took a boat to a almost deserted island and got ready (where we stayed for two days). Then took another boat to a completely deserted island and had a beautiful ceremony. We announced our elopement with a postcard of us wearing ‘just married’ thongs!
I had a dress made by a Korean dressmaker in the city (just showed her a picture of what i wanted) for $600. Sean had a shirt and pants made when we arrived in Thailand for $50!
We then honeymooned in Paris! My lifelong dream!

What a beautiful bride!!!
WOW! To this day these pictures still bring tears to our eyes! As the mother of the bride and step-father of the bride it was very difficult to know that your daughter is getting married and that you would not be there for her to share in the joy of her day (as we live in Canada) but we knew Sean and we had talked and he promised that he would make sure that she had her fairy tale wedding and that her day was extremely special – just like she would want it to be. And he lived up to that promise. Now they are the parents of the most beautiful little girl you have ever seen and we are so proud of all of them and love and miss them dearly!
