SB is just like my two when I am on the phone…
May you have many more beautiful babies, obsessed with banging things and pig/ sausage money. Thanks again for keeping us updated.
P.S. I am a soon to be Occupational Therapist, who will be going as natural as possible – And i have seen some amazing mumma’s with and without disabilities.
I have SPD during my pregnancies, as well. While it is incredibly painful, the plus side is that your body is opening very widely in the three pelvic joints and you can birth big babies with big heads. Mine have all been over 9lbs with huge heads and I haven’t had any issues with birthing or tearing (Also, I birth at home with care providers who are knowledgeable about counterpressure and olive oil on the perineum) Birthing big babies is not an issue, unless you have a care provider who is underskilled. I’ve tried everything you can think of for relief and these are the things that have helped me handle the pain: acupuncture, chiropractic care, energy work (check out Elizabeth Noble’s books on exercises during pregnancy) prenatal yoga with lots of props and careful attention to alignment, lots of walking, and of course, keeping my knees together as much as possible when moving my pelvis (like rolling over in bed or getting up) and inhaling with a slight breath retention before moving from one position to another. The last brings an awareness to the area so you don’t accidentally tweak it, as well as providing pelvic floor support. Also, some homeopathics: arnica montana and calcarea phosphorica. Good luck!
